Review on ๐Ÿถ Donoro 46" Dog Playpen: Portable Pet Play Pens for Small/Medium Dogs - Indoor/Outdoor Cat Playpen with Carring Case, Removable Zipper Top and Bottom by Amber Love

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for wild kittens!

Caught 2 kittens in our office parking lot. I have a 4'Lx2'W collapsible 'pet tube' (from Revain 5 years ago) in my truck to prepare for an earthquake (I have 4 cats at home) so they stayed in it the first few nights while I rummaged through the others. Options here on Revain. I chose this medium sized arena. Easy setting. Just a few very minor complaints about it. One is a top zip with start/stop. When you open it, it's in front of one of the doors. If you run a cheeky wild, clear the way. To clarify, if the doors are N and S and the zipper starts on the panels from the E or W side, it will open above the door. Second, for the top of the bottom, I wish there was additional material covering the zipper to the edge of the handle. So much debris gets into the Blitzweg. That's it :) Bought a second one as the kittens have doubled in size and I wanted to give them more space. Experimented with a few ideas. Constructed a "second floor" from used USPS boxes and attached the second playpen to the top with velcro. The concept is solid but since I work with wild animals it gave them a dark hideout on the first floor. If space is expensive, *can* stack 3 of these (in the middle unzipped on the bottom or on top) and set up a scratching post to give the kitties vertical space to climb and tire out! :) In the end you just mount them door to door and use tie clips to tie these areas together. The kittens kick the binding clips but don't bother them enough to rip them off. Now there is a place to sleep and play, and a place to toilet and eat. I used a large plastic shoe box with tall cardboard sides for the tray. It's the perfect size and if you use sticky velcro it won't get hit all over the place at night. In general, I like this arena. I am sending 1 home with a colleague who will be taking the kittens home soon. It became her safe space. I'll probably buy at least 2 more to keep for emergencies. Should the company ever need an idea? How about an expandable rectangular tube that connects to one door and wraps around another door. These kitties chase each other in circles and that gives them a racetrack :)
