I was pleased to receive them in the mail. When I opened the package I took a quick look at the kit and found the 1mm bit was broken. The odd thing is that it was propped up with a piece of styrofoam to keep it from looking broken. I'm wondering if this was done by the buyer who returned the kit earlier or by the seller? It should be a brand new set. Revane quickly shipped another set. When I placed the two sets side by side I found that the length of the lures varied greatly with some of the smaller lures being larger than the larger lures. I also found that the finish is different between the two sets? Likewise; I was expecting the case to say Drill America because that was the manufacturer, but the case with the drill pointer was made by HUOT and had their website listed on it. I checked out the website and all they sell are drill cases and other tool holders. I also found it a bit strange. I really need a metric set and plan to keep them but am not entirely happy with this purchase as I have a worrying weather feeling these are actually Drill America bits or even cobalt. EDIT: So, upon further inspection of the drills, I noticed the HSS engraving on the 1st set. After looking at the part numbers I found that there is a kit that is not Cobalt that costs about $100 less with the same part number minus the CO in the part number. So they actually sent me much cheaper beats the first time around and one broke. This explains the difference in finishes. HSS (cheaper) are gold plated except for the grooves, while the cobalt is fully gold plated even inside the grooves and has an HSCO stamp on the bits. Hope this helps someone like me.
