Works perfectly. If you want to safely adapt an M.SATA or M2 SATA drive to an old laptop/PC, this is a good solution. I was looking for a way to quickly work with msata and m2 drives; cloning, restoring, etc. The cradles you use to repair a drive must be completely disassembled each time you want to mount a different drive. I might solder pads from a dead MB/Laptop to make it easier for me. Again, this just affects how I expected this item to be. If you want this to be a permanent solution, it works fine.
