I originally ordered a Corsair ML120 but after a lot of noise (even at low speeds) I switched to this particular fan. I was using this fan as an exhaust fan and the case had some design and filtering limitations so I needed a fan that could handle high static pressure. This fan was an ideal replacement for the ML120, at the same speed the fan was absolutely quiet, even when forced it is almost inaudible. Mainboard/housing and for connection to MB. The fan is also PWM (4-pin), which means that its speed can be more precisely controlled directly by the motherboard compared to a voltage-controlled 3-pin fan. Most modern/new motherboards support these types of fans.
