The delivery was faster than expected (actually it was a problem for me, but it was a pleasant surprise!) and the scratching post was well packaged and very simple build up. I didn't look at the directions until I did. Of course when I did it was told to assemble it top down and I did it bottom up. Ouch! However, this is normal. I chose this one because it is made out of carpet and sisal rope. One cat likes carpet, the other sisal rope. I hope they scratch this and not my couch! The cat beds upstairs are a bit smaller than I expected. There must be kittens in the photo. Overall the tree is perfect for my 8 lb Manx but my 15 lb Maine Coon looks like a giant on it. Still, he loves it! I love the plush feel and I'm not worried about cats getting their claws stuck in it like many types of rugs do. At least one of the small beds was big enough for a larger cat.
