Review on TS10040B Magnum Receiver Hitch Mount by Redfish Rosenhoover

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The workmanship is very good and it is well made in the USA

B&W TS10040B. This is a 2" receiver. It comes with 2" and 2-5/16" balls. It is rated for a 10,000 lb trailer weight and 1,000 lb drawbar weight. It has a maximum drop of 7". No lock is provided to fix it on the car.To change the ball, just pull the pin and the ball will start rotating, your tool can be freely changed from 2 to 2-5/16.The workmanship is very good and it is well built in the US Note that there are several black and white hitches that look like this and all have different drops and different receiver sizes, this can be a little confusing, especially when you are looking at the lowest hitch price double check and they all appear the same It's easy to order the wrong one so double check before you go out and pay Another similar fixture I own is the CURT 4590 Adjustable Channel Bracket 0. It's a lot cheaper, but it's only designed for a 6-inch drop. Love both of these clutches, the jacket has a rubber insert that helps keep clutch rattle to a minimum, B&W has nothing to stop clutch rattle but it is machined. with less incline so it should be pretty good. If you frequently change hitch height, replacing the B&W is much easier. I would take a Curt clutch. Curt is a forged ball, a detail that makes both balls beautiful and durable. Curt is just a pain to change height and resize the ball. I bought a B&W, I have a couple of trailers and when I buy a new car I don't want to buy more couplers. So I have 2 hitches for 2 trailers and don't have to slow down to change them (unless I'm buying a new truck) Currently the price is $110 and B&W is $245.
