Review on 🚪 Dorman 77488 Black Tailgate Handle for Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer - Compatible with Specific Models by Joseph Elvis

This part is Will not fit my Avalance 1500 Trunk Lock Pins are heavy gauge bolt stock, not just wire. Unlike other reviews, I didn't receive any instructions, but I found helpful videos on YouTube. Then, when I compared the parts, I noticed that this part does not have a locking mechanism! Where do you store your tools and such? Would you like to keep them unlocked? Everything went fast with the video - I thought it was supposed to be 15 minutes of work. But then I struggled for about an hour to install the latch bar on the driver's side. Finally I compared the holes and found that the driver side linkage hole was about 1/2" below the stock part. I wasted my time and money on all those parts and for a few bucks more I got an OEM one. Found a similar part that supports the latch mechanism and for just a few bucks more I went back and read the detailed specs and it says it is an OEM replacement and no mention of removing the ability to latch the tailgate this will be my last Dorman role!
