Review on Hosa CMP 159 Stereo Breakout Cable by Chris Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used successfully to break through stereo in two ways; Only an inconspicuous question

This stereo breakthrough works for several purposes. I have a set of powered speakers with XLR or 1/4" balanced/unbalanced line inputs that are easy to pair with my other music gear. But my kids wanted to listen to music at the New Year's Eve party, which led to my plan to purchase this item to make speakers available for some of our consumer devices. After getting it, I hooked up 1/4" mono inputs, one to each speaker as an unbalanced input, and my daughter was able to plug a 3.5mm into her cellphone jack and play party music through her phone with ease! After that that we were watching a movie that was being streamed from the Revain through our computer to our TV. The TV had normal built in speakers but... it was Star Wars IV and big sound would have been great. So we essentially did the same thing, except that the 3.5mm plug went into the headphone jack on the computer. Even if anyone wasn't a fan of the movie, the sound was at least spectacular! My only issue with it (resulting in a 4/5 instead of 5/5) is, that the connection wasn't as strong as I expected.(My other hardware snaps in fine, so I'm assuming that's the problem.) Still, I think it was worth the price and I would buy it va.
