These Hosa cables are great when not subject to movement and wear

These Hosa cables are great when not subject to movement and wear. They are not strong enough to walk on or roll over, so be careful. The only major downside is that the 3.5mm jack is VERY large for many devices and Hosa doesn't seem bothered to fix that. I was much happier with Ugreen's Gold Plated 3.5mm 1/8" TRS to 6.35mm 1/4" TS Mono Y-cable Splitter Cable, but this cable its expensive. This is a normal basic cable.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not bad

Works but hardly

Works but hardly. I have LSR305 speakers connected to Chromecast Audio with this cable. Sound quality is good, although I had to twist the 3.5mm stylus a bit in the Chromecast audio to get sound from both the left and right channels. As soon as you hold the cable in your hand, you immediately understand that the quality is first-class Chinese junk. This cable will last for years if you keep it in a place where you never have to see or touch it again. If you plan on moving it regularly, do…

Works great and clear sound

Whenever I need to save some money but need something of high quality, I default to Hosa. Are they the best cables on the market? no Is that the best you can get in this price range? Yes, in the following two price ranges. They don't look "cool" but they work amazingly well. To be honest, they are workhorses and you shouldn't think twice. If you're a pro and don't use them as patches, give them a try. They generate very little noise, not audible at all, but you will see some artifacts in your…

GREAT FOR CONNECTING YOUR IPOD OR PORTABLE MUSIC PLAYER

I have bought many of these for use in my recording studio. The 3.5mm plug is always the right size for the Hosa, they always fit the small headphone jacks correctly, never too tight or too loose like some cheap imports. I've been using Hosa cables since they came out in the early 80's and I have to say they've done a great job of constantly improving their products. You can spend a lot more, but I doubt you'll get better performance. The wire is flexible and has low series impedance and…

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Very Expensive

I know better than to buy a cable with soldered plastic connectors that can't be opened up and resoldered, but I did it anyway. They failed in one of the 1/4" TRS connectors within a week. I might fix it someday with good TRS fittings that cost the same as all those cables, but by then I'll have bought a good quality 3.5mm patch. I could take care of the return, but I throw it in a broken cable box and that's it. Other Hosa cables appear to be of acceptable quality. In this case, it's not…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Annoying

This stereo breakthrough works for several purposes. I have a set of powered speakers with XLR or 1/4" balanced/unbalanced line inputs that are easy to pair with my other music gear. But my kids wanted to listen to music at the New Year's Eve party, which led to my plan to purchase this item to make speakers available for some of our consumer devices. After getting it, I hooked up 1/4" mono inputs, one to each speaker as an unbalanced input, and my daughter was able to plug a 3.5mm into her…
