When using the Gripsert. Do not thread the tool all the way onto the nut. Screw it onto the tool just enough to easily close the tool all the way. Then do not remove the Gripsert tool, tighten the tool until it closes easily until it no longer closes. Repeat until the cap is tight and will not turn, then unthread the cap from the tool. You will be done. They don't look like rivets coming loose from the core.
