Had to use this metal tool
At first I thought I would have to return these sleeves as there was a tiny hole on one end that didn't fit my mask cords. Then I saw the metal tool in the kit. You thread the ribbon through the closed part. The exposed grommets on the other end fit into the small hole and allow you to thread the strap through. You now have a slider that you can use to adjust the belt tension.
