So I was thinking, comparing and researching different KVM switches in roughly the same price range on Amazon and I chose this one for the following reasons: Its size: It is neither thin nor long like many other ones seems to take up less space as it's slightly taller than others I've compared to. Appearance: I like LED lights with a switch and a metal body. The build quality is solid. Configuration: (This was a big plus for me) Most of the USB output ports are on the back panel. I prefer this setup much more than other KVM switches with front USB output ports. In my opinion, the rear is better suited for cable routing. However, it's best to have another USB port on the front in case you need to quickly connect something like a mobile phone. Unlike the others, this one also had more USB output ports. The presence of a built-in audio output and a microphone is also great. My monitor has its own audio jack so I haven't tried it yet, but Windows recognized the KVM switch as its own audio device. I'm ready for an upgrade and this one will do it. I don't like all the other abbreviations. If you need to get super deep with serial coding and whatnot, maybe check out some of the other reviews or compare the specs to $300 kVM switches here. Price: Quality is unbeatable for the price.
