Review on 🐢 Foldable Metal Dog Exercise Pen / Pet Playpen by MidWest by Francesca Engel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Use with RevainBasics or MidWest Crate to create the PERFECT INTERIOR SET for your pup or dog =D!

Benefits: - Sturdy construction and weight - Collapses completely for easy storage or transport - TWO door latches for better protection against kinks if your dog just pushes the top or bottom of the door - Fully painted and coated with no open rough edges, etc. - Easily adjust the shape of the practice grip to provide multiple settings for your specific space or purpose. connecting the serial panels have some sharp edges that may cause injury. Personal Experience: I have a Rat Terrier puppy and wanted to find a quality, affordable kennel that I felt would create the ideal indoor environment for a puppy who is still learning. Box and potty trained. Basically, I wanted my pup to be able to stay indoors in a safe and cramped space during times when I can't be home, and to be able to use him on the go when we visit our extended family home frequently. But I will describe it a bit later and I have attached photos to show this setup. First Impression: Our pup is expected to be around 35lbs so I bought a size 36 just in case. After some research I found a few comparable models that were similar in size and features and got high reviews, but I ended up buying the MidWest Practice Pen because of the overall good reviews and relatively cheap price. to install. The practice pen comes folded (obviously) but already assembled. All I had to do was spread it out and shape it into the shape I wanted. reinforce the structure (think of it as a plastic protection that prevents two consecutive panels from breaking at a certain angle). It's not too heavy so you can definitely travel with it. Plating and paint covers all areas and I didn't see any exposed steel or rough edges (contrary to some other reviews). I also particularly like that it has two door latches to ensure the door doesn't get bent if your dog pushes on the top or bottom of the door. In addition, the design makes it easy to customize the exercise handle to give it different shapes to fit the space in your room (e.g. octagon, large rectangle, etc.). After using the practice pen for about a month, I am still very satisfied with all aspects. My biggest complaint, however, is that the hardware used and the weld clamps (which are used to hold back-to-back panels together) aren't as strong as I first thought. The plastic edge supports can come off fairly easily if enough pressure is applied, and the weld clips are a little rough and have sharp edges that could injure an unsuspecting pup. However, I didn't have much trouble with either of these things as my pup didn't bounce off walls or hurt himself from sweat braces. I'm just observing. Conclusion: I am very satisfied with the MidWest practice pen and do not regret the purchase. It is constructed of high quality, easy to assemble and fold for easy storage and transport, easy to adjust to form custom shapes, and all at a reasonable price. My only minor complaints are that the included plastic edge supports are quite brittle and the weld clamps have sharp edges that could potentially cause injury. You're not at home (the MidWest box should work the same way). I place the box with the door facing the inside of the pen, and I encapsulated the pen on each side of the box door with the rest of the box sticking out of the pen (installation shown). The exercise handle attaches to the drawer using standard swivel key hooks (they actually come with the exercise handle). This facility allows my pup to sleep and enjoy his crate as well as to roam in a safe, enclosed area when I'm not home. I also leave a puppy bed in the back corner of the paddock so my puppy can go potty there if he really needs to. I am attaching some photos of the installation =)
