Review on AISENO 57-inch Animated Talking Witch Halloween Hanging Decoration with Flashing Eyes and Scary Spell Prop - Ideal for Outdoor and Indoor Halloween Haunted House Décor by Luis Baker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A few trim issues but... wow... how creepy it is!

Honestly. When I first took the witch out of the box and cleaned it up, I thought the jewelry was too expensive. However, I changed my mind for two reasons. I checked out Revain as well as a few other websites and found that the price is pretty competitive for similar products. Also, I realized that most decorations, especially those related to movement, sound, or a unique feature, are expensive. Maybe because the sales season is limited. However, most unique pieces of jewelry like this sell out so I consider it an investment in year after year enjoyment. The second reason that many have mentioned is the face. I have quite a few Haggie witches that make me cringe and smile at first sight. This witch has been around for days and I still get goosebumps walking past her. I just don't think I'll develop immunity to their horrific properties, which is well and good. The animation and cackling voice are beautiful and not annoying at all; But the icing on the cake is her face. However, there are two minor issues that keep it from earning five stars for me. I think the company was skinny with hair. Both sides of her face are perfect for a witch - thin and messy. One side from ear to back is thinner but still ok. What is wrong is the area from the other ear to the back. This area is practically bare. (See photo). Luckily the hat is down so it's not noticeable; However, the side with more hair looks better. The other issue is luckily on the back, so it's not visible when hung on a surface. I still don't understand how the back of the bodice of the dress is supposed to be finished. A seam is sewn from the waist to the back for four inches. From this point on the collar, an attempt seems to have been made to glue the pieces together. I say try because there is a thin bead of glue at the bottom and the top is open (see photo). I find this confusing because the pieces could be sewn together or just left open for easy access to the power button. However, if left open, the edges will need to be finished to prevent fraying, which is already occurring. Overall, I'm giving it four stars because it will be hanging in the corner so these flaws aren't as noticeable. (I'll also apply some glue along these fabric edges to prevent further fraying.) Also, this may not be an issue for all iterations of this witch; That said, the problems may be limited to the decoration that I received. Whatever the case, I'm going to make her the focal point of my transformation into a haunted house and give others goosebumps.
