I was disappointed with this item; I hung one on the back of my iPhone to keep an eye on around the house, but every time I slipped it into my pocket or purse, the device rotated just enough to pop out; It's too thick for phones, I don't think it's designed exactly for that, and the little prongs that are said to prevent it from rotating and opening for the battery don't. By largely abandoning the telephone aspect, it mostly doesn't work with keys - batteries aren't dead - i go to my car and use the remote with the door open to see if i can hear/see the missing keys and he can't. She just got up, held it next to her purse and pressed it - nothing. etc. That's a good idea. I wonder if another brand would work better?
