Dollar for dollar I think this is the best value for money knife. I have some very high quality Japanese knives, but I also have a lot of these Winco knives (note that Winco makes several types of knives, I only have experience with these "German steel" forged knives). These are quality knives, they hold up well and have a decent grip. The only downside is the thickness of the blade, which is a matter of preference. They're a bit wide, which is why I still use my Japanese chef's knives for a lot of things.
