Poor fit and safety issues

The installation of these mats on my 2013 X3 is pretty good, but it's not perfect and not even as good as I expected. The rear mat fits very well, but there is a big problem with the passenger mat. The car has a storage grid on the right side of the underside of the center console, at the bottom of the passenger footwell. The grid is about 1 1/2 inches from the floor and the raised edge of the floor mat rises above the grid. Because of this, the mat does not sit flush with the side of the console. Another disadvantage unrelated to installation is the ability of the mats to stay in place. The front mats move despite their rather scratchy underside. While this isn't a problem on the passenger side, the mat has shrunk a little around the gas pedal, which makes me a little doubtful about the safety of the mat. Since it doesn't interfere with brake pedal operation, it probably doesn't match the color of these mats is tan, the color does not go well with the car carpet, giving the general impression that the floor mats are cheap or of poor quality despite their significant price. All in all, I regret not having bought the slightly more expensive WeatherTech mats. UPDATE 10/30/2015: After about 4 months of use I gave up the front floor mats in favor of the original BMW floor mats. , The mat on the driver's side is always in motion. ng and covering the underside of the gas pedal and I don't feel safe anymore. A simple manufacturer solution would be to embed a piece of Velcro in the underside of the mat to secure it to the floor, just like BMW floor mats. It's just a bad product. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone in this price range.
