Review on 🔧 Durable Dee Zee DZ95D Steel Wheel Well Tool Box with Convenient Drawers by Jaime Miranda

This box is very well made. The 5 drawers pull out very easily and don't feel cheap at all. The lock closes the box well, but the lock could be better. Since the door is flush with the front, the lock is enough to keep most people out as there is no way to open the door. The crate is removable and separable at its base so that it attaches to the bed of the truck. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the way it attaches to the bed from the bottom could be stronger. It should be attached to the side to make it even stronger. There are 6 screws underneath, and even with all of them I think if someone really wanted it they could just keep moving it back and forth and it would eventually come loose. If it were connected at the side, this would not be necessary. I have an '07 Chevy 2500 and the bed is rounded so it's not possible to put the box directly on the side of the bed so it's about 2 1/2 inches from the side. Edit: After owning this for a week we had rain here and to my surprise the next day I was at the seams with rust. I didn't scratch the paint or anything like that. So now I had to clean it up and now I had to putty all the seams so the water couldn't get in between the overlapping seams. IT'S MADE FOR OUTDOORS. You would think they would have at least used galvanized steel to prevent that. Was initially very happy with my purchase but I am very disappointed with this tool box. I initially rated it a 4 but the steel isn't that thick so 1 year max and this thing will be so rusty I can't use it for the looks. If you buy one, after unpacking, make sure you seal ALL the seams.
