I’m building a house and wanted a place to take a nap. I added a two inch foam pad and sheet and this bed is very comfortable. Yes, you can sleep on your side. It’s very sturdy and does not swing around like a hammock. It’s very easy to get in and out of. Easy to assemble and well made.

- The stand can rust over time if left outside
