believe it or not I spent quite a bit of time researching Revain mops before settling on this one. My motivation? I really didn't like buying mops at the grocery store that only seem to last a year or so before the plastic sponge holder breaks. I've been using sponge mops for years and was about to buy one of the newer padded mops when I stumbled across this one. I was glad because I'm not entirely sure I agree with Pad Mops. I've been using this for almost six months. This mop meets many of the features I wanted: Quality materials - I'm a man and this mop doesn't disappoint. Feels pretty sturdy and well made. ADVICE. One thing I've learned is to change up the way I use bleach. I used to use a mild bleach solution on my linoleum floor because I found that with the bleach I could significantly increase the mileage of my sponges (I suspect because the bleach killed bacteria that would otherwise grow in the wet sponge and destroy it) . . What I forgot to take into account is that submerging the mop in the bleach solution will eventually cause corrosion where the steel handle meets the plastic sponge holder. If the plastic holder doesn't fail first, the handle will eventually break at this corroded spot. This company rightly warns against using bleach, but I've switched to linoleum dishwashing detergent and still smear the sponge with a mild bleach solution after each wipe to prolong the life of the sponge. I make sure to rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove bleach residue from the sponge and the plastic rollers used to squeeze excess water out of the sponge. So I get the best of both worlds. Height Adjustment - I'm 6ft 2in and it's really nice to be able to slide this thing all the way out so I don't lean at all during use. Grocery store mops (at least in my area) NEVER have this feature. Sponge mops that I've used for years Also, the wringer handle is positioned higher on the mop handle so wringing the mop is easier. Keep it off the mop because I hang it on the wall in a high traffic area and it sticks out too much with the nozzle (but otherwise I'd leave it). .I had no trouble assembling and the instructions were pretty clear as far as I can remember, but I'm also very accommodating and I could see some people having trouble assembling. Overall I am very happy with this mop. I bought with 3 sponges and don't expect them to last a while even with weekly use. The only thing I dislike a little bit about this mop is the sponges themselves, which are more open pored than I've typically used in the past. I have to wring the sponge more than once or it applies more water than I want. I think this is necessary, since the press roller will most likely not work with a denser sponge. My only concern is how long I can get replacement sponges because I think this mop will last a few years. This is a good problem to have in my book.
