At first it was like a Rubik's Cube trying to figure out which strap to go where but I found the consistency, they are great. I bought these because one of the AT instructors at my REI said he got through the second half of AT on his. I believe it after a moderate 10 miles in mine. Caution: Make sure you adjust the thumb loop correctly or it will cut into the web of your finger (oops).
