Okay, a little better than the original

It is metal which makes it better than the factory plastic. Mine was fine, but I was afraid that if the injector or regulator failed again, it would break in the future and I'd have to pull the parts out. Screws for the cover and rotor are terribly cheap, they quickly snap off. The relationship with the transmission oil pump is a tooth. So when you take your shaft out and put it in, it's slightly misaligned. It has plenty of play, a good half inch side-to-side when installed. But that's the original. I remember that even before the advent of computers, the manifold had very little lateral sag. I assume this is a direct copy of the plastic. The middle hole should be cast larger. This creates a potential gear wear problem, which is no fun as the cam is expensive and requires a lot of labor to replace. I laid the dial gauge on its side and dragged it halfway through the game to try and straighten the gear. This measurement turned out to be a waste of time as I had to run the scan and set the cam lag since the tooth was out.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Available for replacement
