The idea is fantastic. Many lightsabers are present, all of which light up when the liquid in the mug is warm enough. Unfortunately, there are too many caveats to justify a second purchase or a gift to someone. Firstly it is hand wash only and I knew I would. Every second of my coffee mugs is made of good old dishwasher-safe ceramic. It wasn't microwave safe back then. And I knew I would respond. But the nail in the coffin is that you need water/coffee/tea HOT HOT HOT for the lightsabers to ignite. They don't burn for very long while the drink cools, and to get the liquid in the coffee mug hot enough to reignite lightsabers, you have to pour it into a good old ceramic mug, which is microwaved and heated in the microwave can. bring to 3 HOT and pour back into lightsaber mug. So sorry I wouldn't recommend this mug even though it's a really great idea. Just reduce the heat requirements of lightsabers and add a top rack only version and I think you have a winner.
