Review on Denso 550-0104 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor by Marcus Barlow

original sensor on the right, new on the left in the attached picture, note the fixed angle of the valve stem. When attempting to install it on a 2008 Toyota Tacoma with steel rims, there was an air leak at the base of the valve stem due to the sensor not seating flush. I ended up rotating the sensor 180 degrees after pulling the tire into position to get the valve seated properly. This rotation causes the sensor to protrude inward from the rim, causing the tire to hit the sensor the next time the tire is removed. Check out other similar reviews in hindsight (Nisjoe, July 9, 2020) and (C. Peterson, March 14, 2021). We are returning the other two sensors and purchasing part number 550-0103.
