Review on Acer A515 56 36UT Display I3 1115G4 Processor by Colin Watkins

Shelf life approx. 2 months. I am very happy with it. Everything is lightning fast. The image on the screen is very good, clear, bright, without reflections. After the 30 day return period, I added a second Sony 860 Evo hard drive - a 500GB 2.5" SATA drive and replaced the 4GB RAM with a Crucial 16GB RAM. Now the laptop has 756GB of storage and 20GB of RAM. Update 7/22/21 - Exactly 5 months after the date of purchase, the laptop is behaving very strangely. The fan runs most of the time, even when the laptop is asleep. When you wake up, the screen is completely black and the keyboard backlight is on. .I have to press the power button until the laptop turns off. Then turn it back on to get everything working again. Very frustrated about this. Update 7/24/21 - I've found the culprit which was causing the fan to run loudly at the time of day and the screen going black on wake up. This is not Acer's fault. The PresentationFontCache.exe file was consuming between 28% and 35% of the CPU, resulting in overheating. You can find this culprit in Task Manager. Do a Google search, many have suggested simply deleting the file and explaining how to do that. As soon as I delete the file and restart, my Aspire is back to normal: nice and fast and quiet. No more noisy fan and no more black screen. Went back to 5 stars.
