Review on Black CDN DT450X 🌡️ Pocket Thermometer with Digital Display by Ian Hallford

This thermometer was great until the battery died (which happened pretty quickly considering my partner never forgets to turn it off and I can't tell if it has an auto shut off feature, but I found it often lying on the counter) is still on). The case with the battery is difficult to unscrew as the soft plastic rips off almost immediately if you try to use a metal screwdriver. I worked with various items until I could open them and lo and behold my replacement battery was the wrong type (my fault - customer questions/answers are misleading but the product description mentions LR44 so I had to check there)). Since the plastic is already exposed, the thing only lasts one battery, so I'm about to order another thermometer. It's a shame that a poorly designed element makes this thing almost disposable.
