If you test your water frequently, you need a set of test strips, not just the 4 or 5 that PetCo ships. It's a good price but I'm not sure if they are as accurate as other brands I have. The test patches don't get as dark and everything reads "smaller" than the other strips, ie lower pH, lower hardness, lower everything except nitrites and nitrates. Since I'm monitoring pH and hardness, it's important that I have accuracy. For basic water checks, such as once a week in your betta or goldfish tank, this is sufficient. For a more detailed test I would take another brand.
