Review on ๐Ÿคฟ Enhance Your Underwater Experience with Trident Scuba Dive Mask Magnifier Lens (Gauge Reader) by Star Bell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good deal but with some caveats (and no glue)

This is meant to be mounted on a diving mask so you can read the gauges. This is normally placed on the LEFT side of the mask since your console is on the left. It is made of glass, so it is very durable. Why not two? Because they don't work like regular glasses, which are made by optometrists and placed a certain distance (depending on the distance between your pupils) to allow you to read. These are NOT reading glasses per se. This is a magnifying glass that allows you to read gauges, NOT books. Also, it's for one eye only. Again, this is NOT for reading books, just your watch or sensors underwater. Nothing superfluous. It has one side flat and the other curved. This means that you place the FLAT side on the glass of the mask and stick it (if it's not glass but a polycarbonate mask that folds it won't work). But here's the problem. While most of these types of devices are mounted INSIDE, this device works best when it's a little further away from your eyes, OUTSIDE. Inside I couldn't see the sensor well because the focal length was too close. It works much better outside. However, I'm afraid this will expose the water too much and eventually destroy the glue holding it. Also, there is no glue in it. You have to provide it yourself. I used Loctite glass glue and it should hold it there very well. If not, then I think she'll be sailing away on a future diving trip. It works, I just wish it had 1) glue and 2) a different focal length so I can apply it INSIDE the mask. . He works where he is; The question is will he stay where he is. So three stars. For this price it is worth a try. Other similar ones are sold at twice the price. For a ยพ inch piece of glass, this should cost around $2. Regardless of what you buy, you will overpay. This simply rips you off a little less than your competitors.
