Now I can read data from my dive computer!

This magnifier works well, now I can read my dive computer. All you need is a lens. Just install it in the bottom left corner of your diving mask. Bean

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It seems to work better there and is much easier to install

Haven't used it 'wet' yet but seems to do what is advertised. Put it on the new Mares Xvision mask and it appears a little low on the lens, making it difficult to see. You may want to move it around a bit before gluing it to the lowest point of the lens. According to another review I placed it on the outside of the lens where it works better and is much easier to mount.

Poor design, suitable for diving and snorkeling

Two problems: 1 - the round shape makes it difficult to place the lens low enough to ensure a normal line of sight - today's low volume masks have minimal lens area - the product must have a crescent shape, more suitable for a modern face mask2 - the focal length of the lens is very short - objects more than 15 cm away are blurred - requires the sensor to be held too close to the mask I prefer Dive Optx inserts, they are not permanent but give normal depth field readings and they are shaped to…

Not recommended for water sports

No glue or mounting template included. You have to guess which silicone glue to use and then _where_ to attach the lens and then clean the area contaminated by the "gluing" process. your computer when it is close to the lens. The lens itself obscures your field of view when you're swimming, making that [huge] area "blurry". Again, it's nearly impossible to remove excess adhesive around the lens area without scratching the mask; To see the computer you have to bring it close to the lens - almost

This product is highly recommended if installed correctly. On the advice of another person who bought this product, I put the lens on the outside of the mask. This provided the best focus and magnification. I used silicon glass glue as recommended. It only took 1 drop. I put tape on the non-adhesive side of the lens so with 1 drop of glue on the flat side I could flip the lens over and position it on the outside of the mask where I wanted it. I mounted the lens on the bottom of the lens a…

The perfect solution for the SCUBA mask

I needed a reading lens in my dive mask so I could read my dive computer. After wiping everything down with alcohol wipes, I taped this lens to the OUTSIDE of the right lens of my mask and positioned the lens at the bottom of the lens like a bifocal lens (which it is). The flat surface of the loupe lens rests on the glass of the mask. I used LOCA glue (sold separately) and also a UV flashlight (sold separately) to cure the glue. The treatment takes only 3 minutes. (LOCA glue is the same glue…

Good Product - Diving Masks

I installed this in my mask on the right side. For me it is unobtrusive. You probably won't notice it when you start diving. When you need to read data from a gauge, watch, or computer, just hold it in front of the lens. The kit does not include silicone adhesive that can be ordered or purchased locally. When installing, make sure the inside of the Nask lens is clean and dry. Make a VERY small swab on the lens of the loupe. Put a magnifying glass on your finger and put your scuba mask on your…

Good deal but with some caveats (and no glue)

This is meant to be mounted on a diving mask so you can read the gauges. This is normally placed on the LEFT side of the mask since your console is on the left. It is made of glass, so it is very durable. Why not two? Because they don't work like regular glasses, which are made by optometrists and placed a certain distance (depending on the distance between your pupils) to allow you to read. These are NOT reading glasses per se. This is a magnifying glass that allows you to read gauges, NOT…
