I bought this vacuum after my Dyson Ball Animal vacuum died. I was very disappointed with the Dyson's fragile, brittle plastic parts, which began to break shortly after purchase. Dyson has served us for just over 5 years. After all that, I was looking for another bagless vacuum cleaner. In the end I chose the Shark Power Lift-Away DLX vacuum cleaner. I've had this vacuum for almost 3 months now and each time I love it more and more! It's fairly light and offers two convenient ways to carry it around. The stick detaches in two places for shorter or longer reach. The waste collection compartment is completely separate from the main vacuum, making it easy to reach with a stick. We found out when my three year old pushed all the buttons. It's very easy to switch from wand to vacuum and back and from carpet to floor without turning off the vacuum. Overall the best parts of this vacuum: and it cleans everything ;)) Cheaper than comparable Dyson models Easy emptying of the bin Cons: Too short core (I added an extension) Gets into corners but suction at the bottom of the vacuum doesn't reach vacuum the edge of the vacuum (if it makes sense) I would definitely recommend this vacuum over Dyson if you are considering two!
