AWESOME scanner - for the advanced scanner enthusiast

It's been years since I had a scanner and this is everything I could have hoped for and more! FIRST I would suggest a premium subscription for Radioreference and FreeScan. Using Freescan makes it easy to program the BCD996P2 BUT if you are a 'newbie' there is quite a 'learning curve' ahead of you, but it's difficult! you will be rewarded Currently scanning digital feeds such as the "rebranded" Raleigh County Sheriff, Fire/Wake County, and NCSHP, among others. There are also many regular channels programmed and reception is good with the standard antenna. (Might buy another indoor antenna to see how much more I can connect. My only "complaint" is that I had to wait almost a month to get it! (Ordered 12/19/2018 and received 1/11 .2019)) Very good I recommend this scanner!
