Review on Auger juicer Kitfort KT-1102-2, burgundy by Dagmara Chmielewska ᠌

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Overall happy with the purchase. I originally bought it to squeeze the apple-sugar mash, which had previously been rolled through a meat grinder, to get cider, because. to do this through gauze or nylon stockings turned out to be very, very difficult and long. For this task, an auger squeezer is not particularly suitable (it turned out to be almost mashed potatoes, the cake is a little drier, but also mashed). I knew about it from the reviews, but still decided to take a chance and bought it (especially since berries and watermelon were declared among the list of squeezed products, which, in my opinion, was similar to my apple mash))) Subsequently, I tried to squeeze soft varieties of apples, the situation is the same. But hard varieties of apples, carrots, beets, celery squeezes perfectly, the cake is dry, the productivity is high. I freeze cake from carrots (then my wife throws it into the soup). By the way, carrot juice goes well with kefir (you can also add tomato juice)))

Pros
  • Large neck. Quiet operation (the wife puts the child in the next room without problems). Efficient extraction (not for all types of vegetables / fruits). Suction resistant. Beautiful. Powerful enough. Washing is relatively easy. Comes with a handy brush for cleaning and a book with information on juices. I learned from her that you can’t drink beetroot juice right away)))
Cons
  • It squeezes soft apples so-so (the output is not juice, I'm mashed, the cake is not much drier than this mash), but these are the features of auger juicers. The hole for the cake (near the mesh inside the squeezer) can become clogged with fibrous parts (celery, for example) due to which the passage narrows by 30-70 percent, respectively, it is more difficult for the subsequent cake from other vegetables / fruits to come out, you have to either disassemble and clean, or try remove the blockage with a long thin stick or brush from the kit. I wanted a silver model, but it was in short supply and more expensive. Cannot be washed in dishwasher.
