The controller is not a plug-in. People who are familiar with electrical work will find the connection easily. As of November 2021 (compared to the August review which called it dangerous) the 120V outlet is clearly labeled and explained in the instructions and product description on Revain. I didn't find it obscure and didn't find the controller dangerous. I'm an electrical engineer, not an electrician, but it was clear that the power was 120. However, the instructions are not good. The product description is, I would say, unintentionally misleading. The instructions state that the device regulates temperature and humidity. By controlling these parameters, the device offers 4 functions: it can cool when it's too hot and heat when it's too cold, turn on the humidifier when it's too dry and dehumidify when it's too humid. So to actually control these two parameters you need 4 loads - 2 on each side. The instructions clearly state that 2 charges are fed, but one on each side. It is not cooled and heated or humidified and dehumidified. Therefore, the controller can actually only be configured to power one device on the temperature side and one device on the humidity side. If you want to control humidity, you probably want to buy a device that will keep the humidity within a certain range - from minimum to maximum - and can power 2 devices - a humidifier and a dehumidifier. The same applies to the temperature control. This controller is suitable for many applications where only one of the devices should be powered, but none of your values remain within reach.
