I'm new to the Leica system and this is my first lens to use with the M9. I am a Nikon photographer (D850, D500 and Df). The first thing about this lens is that it doesn't work out of the box. This needs to be calibrated for proper recording. Out of the box I have a lot of back focus. The lens comes with instructions and a tool to fix this. I had to do this multiple times before the camera started nailing focus. It might not be the sharpest wide-open lens, but it will definitely give you nice creamy bokeh. Lots of creative options. The build quality is excellent, good weight and very solid construction. Well balanced on my M9. In a nutshell; Get it, calibrate it and enjoy it. For the price, this is a solid buy.
