Programming the HC-06 was fairly easy. The only thing to remember is that this is a pure slave mode, so you cannot use them as a master. This is fine for most embedded projects. This means that the HC-06 only uses part of the AT commands for programming, e.g. B. setting name, PIN and baud rate, but cannot obtain these from the EEPROM of the device. The range is typical for most Bluetooth. Devices without interference from structures or others. Runs on 3.3V and behaves well as my meter has shown as it could sleep on the board with minimal current draw. I used this on an Arduino Nano project that I later migrated to Teensy 3.6. It was almost a smooth transition from one to the other. I used SoftwareSerial library for UART communication. After playing around with it on both boards for about 15 minutes, I was able to talk to it using my smartphone and laptop.
