Review on 🚦 508D Dual Zone Motion Sensor by Directed Install Essentials by Aaron Franklin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

There is a fine line between loud noise and movement. Delicate little sucker.

PRO: This sensor does its job without a doubt. When you approach the vehicle, a warning tone will inform you that the vehicle is protected. It also sends a signal to my remote telling me the alert has been run. NiceCONS: It's not very easy to set up. There are two adjustment screws, one says factory only and the other is up to the user. Well, once you've got it set up and you're happy with it, don't relax because it's about to change on you. You have to keep it where you can reach it or you will end up in a double tone sensor nightmare. It's really difficult to get it somewhere that would reliably deter criminals while not being so sensitive that it wouldn't be blown up by a noisy car or helicopter. There's a fine line. So I found I was putting him in valet mode far too often because I was working motion and sound against each other. So I didn't have an alarm when I was in a crowded or noisy place. Like a show or a concert or something. If the alarm goes off too many times while you're away, you risk getting stuck because the headlights will drain the battery and turn off the siren. Not to mention it's very annoying in my house. I live on a cul-de-sac where cars often turn and it always runs out. So I won't be using it now until I figure out how to get it working properly. It was a real pain in the ass. So this is my story. There were no directions. So it was outside the window. Good

Pros
  • Offers either a reaction to a warning or a full alarm
Cons
  • I'll write later
