This item was initially amazing. The stray cat turned out to be pregnant, so we took her to the vet, but the microchip was not found. We decided to keep her so that she could give birth to her children in a safe place. I bought this item because they are now 6 weeks old. It didn't last 2 weeks. I bought it on April 15th and it has already been destroyed. Kittens are covered with a "rug" they are wrapped in (it is very easy to remove). The three hanging balls disappeared the next morning. My biggest concern is the placement of the "tree" part. It is about an inch from the scratching post and two kittens are stuck in between. It's scary when you're not there to help them. This isn't a problem for a larger cat, but for babies it's the perfect place for their necks to slip into when they fall. Not recommended for kittens. Anyway, I wouldn't buy it again.
