I used to have a reverse osmosis system with three filters, each with a bowl that had to be removed to change the filter element. At the time, this was the standard type of filter holder. Fast forward to today and these filters just toggle on and off. You don't screw it up. In fact, they take less than a full turn to engage. In addition, the part where the filter cartridge rotates 90 degrees makes replacement a little easier. As far as installation goes, it should be pretty easy for most people. As for me, I found that my Grohe bar faucet had branded fittings on the faucet, so the fittings that came with the Frizzlife filter did not fit. The Frizzlife outlet hose has a 1/2" MIP fitting that screws into the filter housing so I figured I could put a 1/2" MIP to 3/8" compression adapter and then just unscrew my current supply line. and attach it to the 3/8" compression fitting on the adapter. However, it didn't really work as the threads on the filter housing go deep into the housing. The threaded portion of the adapter was shorter than the Frizzlife outlet hose, so the end of the MIP -Fittings didn't sit on top of the gasket in the body. So I went to plan C - connect the Frizzlife and Grohe hoses directly together with complimentary 3/8" compression fittings. It's a bit more hose than I would have liked , but it worked great. In short, I unscrewed the power supply hose from the check valve, screwed the Frizzlife inlet hose onto the valve, and then connected the Frizzlife outlet hose to the power supply hose, which is made of 3/4" maple plywood, the screws would protrude on the other side. How does the water taste? BIG! And the flow is great. Frizzlife's customer service was fairly quick via email (less than a day) and even offered to pay for a 1/2"MIP to 3/8" compression adapter, but that turned out to be unnecessary. In any case, it was a good gesture.
