Review on ๐Ÿค– Liteaid 4093 Claw Machine by Matthew Maxwell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very fun and entertaining car. With some modifications.

This is a very fun little toy and you can easily spend a lot of time with it, but only after making a few modifications. First, the internal speaker is insanely and annoyingly loud. I solved this problem by opening the bottom of the unit and adding a small switch (see photo) to turn off the speaker if I don't want to listen to music for 15 minutes. Second, the claw is difficult to lift. some things, and that's mostly because he's not holding onto the ends of his claws. This is solved with a single dip in Plasti Dip (see photo), which can be bought at a hardware store for a few dollars. This effectively solved every problem when he was assembling something. At first I was afraid that some things would be too heavy, but I even managed to lift the Cadbury egg (see photo), which I failed to do before dipping my claws into the plate. I was also able to pick up small plush items and fun sized candy bars that I couldn't before. Overall this is a fun little car and could be made better with a few inexpensive modifications. I can't confirm its longevity, but so far it's performing like a champ. I will update my review in the future if the machine fails for any reason. I gave it four stars because of the changes I had to make to fix its biggest problems, but now it's an amazing little car. I hope this helps any of you who are hesitant to buy one of these. Quarters work best, but any denomination except half a dollar will do. Real coins work better in the machine than the plastic coins provided which tend to get stuck.
