Review on Monroe 37122 OESpectrum Truck Absorber by Justin Munajj

Significant improvement in handling

I installed these on my '98 Ford Explorer Sport and they made a great impression. They really tightened everything up and the truck drives great. I had the stock shocks on my 182,000 mile truck so it's safe to say they were pretty good. Now driving is much more fun. Remember it's a tough ride, but it's still a truck, so don't expect it to turn your truck into a luxury vehicle. If you're looking for a stable and well-controlled ride, these shocks are great. I believe they also restored the stock ride height at the front of the truck. I installed them with Monroe 58617 Sensa-Trac load regulating shocks on the back of the truck, ideal for adding to your Ford Explorer's sagging leaf springs and leveling the car. This was the best upgrade I have ever done, especially considering the price, even better with the discount. On my Ford Explorer, installation was easy, I didn't even bother with the rusty upper shock bolts, I just cut them flush with a Sawzall and installed them in under an hour.
