The image of this product is deceptively large to give the impression that the real products are essential, but they are not. Too bad I should have read the description and reviews before buying, then I would not have quoted them. They are not suitable for knitting. Most reviewers use them for knitting; Although they are advertised as crochet hooks, they are too small to use for crocheting, at least for me. What can also be deceiving is that they are called "ebony", which means "made of ebony" to me, but they don't feel like wood, they feel like plastic. The term ebony seems to be used to describe their color rather than the material from which the hooks are made. I would not recommend anyone who crochet to buy these hooks unless they have really small hands. Won't be buying again - a waste of over fifteen bucks.
