Wrong inches: Sewing

I received these laces and am happy with them. Haven't used them yet as I have to fight with my husband for his sweatpants. I've used shrouds and run a lot of strings through them so nothing to worry about. I really wanted to confirm that there is a major error in the inches of these laces. I assumed they would be 51" and not 5.1" as advertised. When they arrived I measured a few of them and found they were 53-55 inches long. I didn't have time to measure all 12, but I think they are all 51 inches long or longer. I would suggest if you need a really long shoelace compare their lengths so you have the longest to use and if you need a smaller one do it in reverse. The laces look just like the ones that come with most jogging pants. If you are sewing, once the drawstring is evenly attached to your pants or skirt, I would suggest sewing it down the center of your back so it doesn't stretch unevenly or even accidentally stretch all the way. You can do it by hand, but a machine will be easier. I value them as my husband has needed them lately. Now you have to find the pants that need repairing. Many Thanks.
