Do not use the instructions in the photo gallery for this product. The only place you'll need to use a screwdriver is to remove the yellow caps, and you do this from the inside by knocking them out. To remove the bars between the links, grasp them and twist clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever is easiest to disengage. Same with reinstalling. If you use a screwdriver on this thing, you'll destroy the brittle plastic. Even if you are very careful you can break some parts. I hope you remove enough links to have spares to replace parts you break.
