The original remote became liquid and stopped working. I found and ordered this replacement. In the meantime I dried out the old console (on the AC register overnight) and it was slowly coming back to life. I was pleasantly surprised when the new remote arrived and worked great after putting the batteries in. No programming was required, which was stated in the specs, but I was sure some tweaking needed to be made. I am very happy with this product and now when I want to watch Netflix or Youtube I don't have to look for the remote control. I recommend this product.
