Lisle make excellent products. I really look forward to the days when I need a tool to see if they have an innovative, reliable, "Made in the USA" quality tool for all my needs. They also seem to support innovative inventors and the registration of their inventions. This hand vacuum pump is amazing! It's a solid piece of steel or cast aluminum and quite heavy. The rear handle is also made of durable metal that won't bend under heavy pressure. The sensor is tight and responds, "ringing and even ringing" when the vacuum is quickly pulled out and released. I'm sure it's not good for him but he seems to be following very closely. On the back there is a Schrader valve, like on a bicycle tire, for variable vacuum release in the chamber after it has been evacuated with a handle. The gauge is attached to a very tough black plastic fitting at the end of the barrel and has a small barbed brass fitting that you can attach vinyl or rubber hose to. Aluminum is embossed with the words "Made in the USA". so at least parts are from here. It's a "repairable pump" meaning it has a set of parts in case it needs rebuilding, which speaks to its intended durability.
