These wonderful pens. They lie very smoothly on paper, have a soft lead but do not break, sharpen well and blend very well. They are great for layering too, I can't say enough good things about these pens and I use several other well known brands, Prismacolor, Kolanoor, Dewert. I think I'll buy this huge set which has no duplicates and lots of options but I found the purple shades to be a bit bluish and I need the skin tones but other than that I have no complaints. The tin is sturdy, the plastic trays could be a bit sturdier so you have to use 2 hands to pick each one up, you can read the numbers and names on the pins and none of the items were broken when they arrived so straight away the tin was ready to use .
