Last year's Samsung 48 inch model had its stand design changed significantly, removing the soundbar, cable box and other components They were with the TV on the pedestal it replaced. I was annoyed to say the least, and then I spotted this little beauty. It's solid, stable, and simple enough for "assembly required". I chose to set the stand up in its highest configuration to accommodate all of the connected components and I have no hesitation. It turns out that the higher the value, the better the visibility, so this is also a plus for our situation. I would recommend this stand. Incidentally, I noticed that Samsung went back to the pedestal style, so obviously we weren't the only ones having issues with the new design.
