Works great with two different 14.1" LCDs. The kit includes a main board with all connections, two small circuit boards and a remote control. The two Small circuit boards are a 5-button control panel and a power supply for the LCD backlight.The cables connected to it only mate with the corresponding connector on the motherboard, so no interchanging!The LCD power supply must also be connected along with the 30-pin connector to connect the screen. Again, the LCD backlight (two wires, pink and gray on my LCD, plug into a socket on the LCD power supply. As on the motherboard, the plug only fits one way. So: 1. Connect the Power the LCD to the motherboard.. 2. Connect the control panel board to the motherboard.. 4. Remove the 30-pin Plug from the LCD and connect a new one. 5. Connect 12V to the motherboard power connector (centre positive). Monitor from a discarded laptop. Making a good mount for it would be more work than forcing it :)
