So far I have tried different surgical masks in the past 2 years of the hell the world has been going through. and I have to say that these are by far the softest and thickest surgical masks I have come across that also have comfortable AND properly taped ear loops. They are well made, as you know it is difficult to find a good mask. The only negative I found, as other reviewers have noted, is that there is a slight chemical odor when you first take off and put on a new mask. So when you take off a new mask, it is best to let it air out first. I suspect it has to do with the manufacturing process where they fuse the layers together, I don't know. I've bought them twice so far. The cost has gone up a few bucks since the initial purchase which is unfortunate but I bought them anyway because the quality is so much better than most cheap masks. Also, it's 4-ply, not your typical 3-ply. And it's softer on the skin and the layers in the middle don't split down the middle when you stretch it like I've found with some cheap masks. Pros: 4 layers Soft and thicker Durable, well made, properly glued to the mask. A properly sewn-in nose clip is the correct length to allow you to shape your nose as needed. Cons: Has some chemical smell when you put the mask on for the first time. this is a delivery error by Revain, not the manufacturer)
