After owning the I7 for 3 years I decided to try third party parts. In the last three years I have had no problems and have not required a service. I do a general monthly cleaning as recommended. I bought this item to see how it compares to OEM parts. I can tell you it didn't work the way I expected. I use the I7 on carpet and found that the original parts had no problem removing the hoarse hairs, however they couldn't grab the hairs, they just pushed them across the floor. Roomba cannot operate on its own when docked due to a sealing issue. I suspect it's because the bag doesn't fit properly compared to the OEM.
